....from the menu we have choosen a little selection of ribbon goodies to tempt your taste buds. A whole roll of pink taffeta ribbon with a delicate woven diamond design. A small portion of seed beads for that extra bit of bite, infusion stripe ombre in the rose petal flavour, a sprinkling of gingham in 5mm and 10mm mixed together with a little LOVE and then the piece de resistance - a Crafty Moments ribbon card. O.K. I know I am a little mad, but hey ho ribbon is FUN!
To win this Friday FREEBIE Plat de jour (dish of the day), you have to leave a ribbon comment, go on make my day - prove to my team that I am not the only nutty ribboner out there!!! We will pick the winner on Monday from our "Bingo" Bag. BUT don't worry I will keep all the ribbons in the fridge over the weekend to make sure they do not go off!!!!
Please spare a thought for poor Rachie today - she has drawn the short straw and is working with meeeeeeee. All part of my MISSION.......
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/boxes.jpg)
.....this consignment of ribbon arrived in February, and..... that's it..... it arrived..... but we have done nothing with it. It has become a fixed partition in the warehouse, we walk round it and it is even being used to stack crates on. We have all got so used to the box wall that I think we have forgotten that the boxes are full of ribbon!!!
Well today Rachie and I are going to attack the WALL, we are going in! What will we find? What had I ordered?
Ooooh I am so excited.
If you get a spare moment have a look at the Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge blog - you could win a bunch of ribbons!

On a mission
13/05/2010
No more shows or exhibtions until end of September, phew. But what am I going to do with myself - Well I am on a MISSION!
You see this.....
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/warehouse.jpg)
....it is our warehouse.
"So what?" I hear you say - well it is bursting with ribbon. We have had deliveries over the last few months that we have not even unpacked, we are just raiding from the boxes. The problem is the warehouse, we are bursting at the seems and running out of space. I suggested to Tony that he buys me another warehouse. Sorry, I can not print what his reply was!!!! I think I have an addiction - honest I just cannot stop buying beautiful, soft, drop dead gorgeous ribbon.
My MISSION is simple (it's simple if you say it quickly) - to put ALL the ribbons we have in the warehouse onto the website. Simple - think not!
I have started, you may even have noticed.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/new+ranges+may.jpg)
Four NEW ranges for May - Full Blooms - 40mm Grosgrain - 15mm Sheer - 25mm Grosgrain, but lots of other ribbons are being added here and there amongst all the other ranges - just keep a look out for this![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/small+Capture.PNG)
I have several more ranges planned for May, but I know I will get bored of computer work, so I have lined myself up with a treat for next week. I am going to be doing a bit of "playing with ribbons", have not done that for weeks, (well at least a day or two!)
This is all part of our "Tidy up Time" and I am really excited about what I may find. Just think when I have ALL the ribbons on the site I can buy LOTS MORE!!!
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/2/Ali+x.jpg)
Off my trolley
12/05/2010
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/week+12+trolley+400.jpg)

![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/main+ric+rac.jpg)
We have also added NEW colours to our range of Ric Rac ribbon trim including gold, silver and opal you can find them HERE.
It is pouring with rain here in Dorset, I have been dithering for a while now, not wanting to get wet going to the car. I do really mean POURING, think there may be a thunderstorm on it's way.
That's it posting done, I am going to make a dash for the car.

Strawberry Barrow
10/05/2010
Cor, I could not believe how quickly the new challenge 15 filled up yesterday. I posted the challenge then popped out to get some cakes (Rachie was coming round for tea), all I could hear in the car was my phone beeping to say an email had arrived. By the time I got to the cake shop I had received 8 emails!!! Aaaah I had to get all the way home again to close the challenge. So the original 10 places has somewhat grown, all thanks to Rachie's cakes! All the Full Bloom challenge ribbons have been cut and will be in the hands of the postman tonight. So get your thinking caps on girls, what wonderful treasures are you going to create this time.
Friday FREEBIE time who is the lucky winner this week? I caught Rachie sitting having a sneaky coffee break outside, so she has pulled the winning number out of our "Bingo" bag this week.
The lucky number of our Friday FREEBIE is.......

![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/terwsa+barrow.jpg)
A strawberry barrow, with big fat juicy strawberries - well I had to try them, it would have been very rude otherwise. This is a brilliant idea Teresa and great fun.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/teresa+card.jpg)
Anyone for afternoon tea? Look at the design on the teapot - here is a close up.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/teresa+cross+st+close+up.jpg)
Wow that is some detail - cross stitch, it's fantastic Teresa.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/teresa+choc+bar.jpg)
This is a cool idea, any idea what it is covering?
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/teresa+choc+bar+open.jpg)
Oooh you know the way to my girls hearts Teresa! Don't think this will be in the warehouse long.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/teresa+clip+board.jpg)

![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/teresa+note+bag.jpg)

![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/jessica+card+1.jpg)
These delightful strawberry bunnies have hopped all the way from Co Wexford in Ireland to be with us. Great colours Jessica, I do love pink and lime.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/jessica+2+closed.jpg)
Jessica you made my little grey cells work on trying to open this card. But I got there in the end.....
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/jessica+2+open.jpg)
Amazing card Jessica and those little people are wonderful.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/leslie+card.jpg)
Apoligies to Leslie, she sent in the juicy strawberry card a while ago, but I lost it. Sorry Leslie, not sure what the strawberry has been made from but it sure is lush.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/leslie+atc.jpg)
Leslie also sent in a ATC, which she hasn't made for ages. Glad you enjoyed the freedom Leslie.
I have saved Gail's goodies till last, it has taken her an age to make - so long that it was given a name! "That strawberry THING".
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/gail+bookmark.jpg)
Gail it is FANTASTIC. It must have taken hours of work.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/gail+close+up.jpg)
Look at the cross stitch detail, it is amazing Gail, she will be given a very special home.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/gail+sam+card.jpg)
Gail's daughter Samantha also sent in a card, she is only four. Well done Samantha your card is charming. Are you the Fairy Princess on the cover? You really do have a natural talent.
I think this is all of the stunning Strawberry Challenge goodies, we hope you have enjoyed them as much as we have. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who took part.

Wow our challenge 15 is FULL.
Sorry if you missed out this time, but we will have another one soon.
Ribbon Challenge # 15
09/05/2010
SORRY THIS CHALLENGE IS FULL.
Full Blooms only here!
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/full+bloom+ribbon+400.jpg)
Just imagine if all our gardens stayed in FULL BLOOM all throughout the summer. Our NEW range of ribbon is called "Full Blooms" and every ribbon is bursting with blooms of every shape and colour.
As soon as I saw these ribbons I had an idea for Winnie (Sydney's special bear), it's been a long time since he had a new outfit.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/winnie+flower+dress+400.jpg)
Winnie is all dressed up for a summer tea party in the garden, the delightful daisy sheer ribbon skirt has been topped with matching lace and a bit of bling!
Do you think you could come up with some unique creations using this selection of ribbon? Are you inspired by flowers? Anybody want to have a play with a bunch of "Full Blooms" ribbons?
If so, then we have 10 free bundles of "Full Blooms" ribbons to give away. All we ask in return for these ribbons are two cards or projects that use the ribbons around a Flower theme.
The ribbons can be used to enhance all forms of crafts - card making, projects, ATC's. If you are up to the challenge, then send us an email to craftyribbons@gmail.com marked RIBBON CHALLENGE # 15
The first TEN to reply will be sent an email requesting address details so we can send your free ribbons! Your finished cards and projects will be posted onto the blog.
Enjoy the flowers.

Friday FREEBIE 19
07/05/2010
It's not a very nice morning here in Dorset, rather cloudy with a hint of rain. Lets hope it cheers up before the weekend.
As our shows are all finished until September we are going through a "tidy up time" in the warehouse. What with the lead up to Christmas and then straight into the January sale, our warehouse has got a little out of sorts! Ribbons have been put back on the wrong shelves or as I call it "DUMPED" (drives me mad), but I do understand why it happens when we are so busy.
If you could have heard Rachie yesterday, all she was doing was a huffing and a puffing as she started to sort out the Grosgrain ribbons.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/main+grosgrain+ribbon+400.jpg)
She came across several NEW colours and widths that were not on the website, we had obviously ordered them in for customers and then promptly forgotten about them. So if you are after a NEW grosgrain colour, keep an eye on this section today as I update it with Rachie's finds. Grosgrain Ribbons can be found HERE.
Our Friday FREEBIE today is a wonderful collection of ribbons, all in soft shades of summer blue. Rachie found them scattered about the warehouse "homeless".
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/summer+splash.jpg)
Could you give these ribbons a good home? YES - then leave a comment below and we will pick a winner from our "Bingo" bag on Monday.
Normal blurb - If your comment is being blocked by our spam filters please email the comment to us here craftyribbons@gmail.com and we will add it for you. Your email address will then be verified and you will be able to leave further comments without any hassle.
Well, I have lots to do, so expect to hear from me over the weekend. Those in the "know" will know what I am going on about, wink, wink say no more!!!!
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/2/Ali+x.jpg)
What happens to time!
06/05/2010
Where has this week gone? I had so much planned, but seem to be running out of time to achieve everything by tomorrow!
If you want just a little bit more inspiration on what you can do with our Strawberry Shortcake ribbons, then look no further - we have boxes, cards, a door hanger, notelets and a memory book. Phew1 I had better get started.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/kim+box.jpg)
This "sweet wishes" box was created by Kim, it is just adorable. The little girl is holding a basket of strawberries.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/kim+free.jpg)
Maybe this is what I need to get all my work done. I could hang it on my office door. Not sure the photo shows the the finer detail - but the ribbons have been machine stitched.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/kim+busy.jpg)
Would I ever hang it this way round?!
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/kim+card.jpg)
The colours are just perfect Kim, lime and pink - yummy. I do hope your son is getting better.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/poppy.jpg)
Poppy made this delightful lilac card, with best wishes running along the edge. These strawberry ribbon colours seem to be just perfect they match with so many different colour combos.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/poopy+2.jpg)
This set of notelets made by Poppy are just what is called for to scribble a quick note, and how delightful they look with the matching ribbons.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/leigh+1.jpg)
I think some of Leighs sticky letters got lost in the post! But we all know what she was thinking of.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/leigh+4.jpg)
Leigh this card is fun.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/leigh+phot.jpg)
This is a really good idea Leigh, a memory book or sometimes called a brag book.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/5/leigh+inner+photo.jpg)
Inside the book are a couple of photos. These photos are from Leighs sons wedding back in October, (do you remember Tony and I went to the reception on the Saturday evening of The Knitting and Stitching show at Alexandra Palace). It was a wonderful evening, the table flowers were all in pumpkins to create a autumnal feeling - with lots of ribbon, of course!
There is one more set of goodies to arrive, from Gail and her 4 year old Samantha, fingers crossed they arrive tomorrow then we will be able to set a NEW challenge.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/2/Ali+x.jpg)

Linda was so pleased she had to get the bling ribbon out!!
