Pitter Patter
13/08/2009
The pitter patter of little feet
Leave behind something dear and sweet
A precious treasure for me to keep
The memories of your little feet.
No, I am not telling you about a little family secret, BUT about my NEW range of ribbons!!
I know I say all my ribbons are gorgeous (well, I think they are!) but this little range IS gorgeous!! Tiny little footprints are set into the grosgrain ribbon, making them adorable. There are 6 soft shades to choose from:
~ White ~ Light Orchid ~ Blue Topaz ~ Candlelight ~ Blue Vapour ~ Powder Pink ~
Each ribbon is printed with three different colours, and amongst the footprints are little scatter stars. They are available in 2¼mtrs per bag for £1 or any 6 bags for £5, which brings the price down to 37p per mtr, which we think is amazing.
I hope you are not getting bored of all the NEW ribbons we are putting on the site. I have today had confirmation, that we will be having a delivery next week - it contains over two hundred thousand metres of ribbon......the best bit is......
......it's ALL NEW! NEW Colours, NEW Designs, NEW Ribbons!!!! I am so excited, how many times a day will I be able to track it?
Is there anyone out there waiting for the next challenge? Or have you all gone on holiday? The new challenge is in one of the boxes that is arriving next week and it is a Mega Challenge ......
Forget-me-not
12/08/2009
These little forget-me-not flowers are one of my favourites. They appear in my garden without me doing anything, although I love gardens, (Tony surprised me with a visit to The Lost Gardens of Heligan a few weeks back), I am not very good at it. One of the legends on how this little flower got its name was as Adam and Eve were leaving the Garden of Eden the little flower cried out "Forget-me-not".
Why am I going on about forget-me-not flowers you ask - we have a NEW collection of ribbons of course!
A 9cm wide single face satin ribbon printed with forget-me-nots. Each ribbon is printed with two different shades of flowers, there are some wicked colour combinations. With 24 base colours to choose from, we are sure you will find a colour you love!
Fresh & Zingy
11/08/2009
This is my NEW Ribbon Bag isn't it wacky?!
It's not fair - Ali guessed the colour of my NEW Ribbon Bag. Even as children she used to do this to me. I think it was the yellow nail varnish that was the big give away!
I had a great weekend, the sun was out and I finally felt warm again. Sydney had been driving us mad about going on a boat, so we took her on a "Yellow" Boat around Brownsea island in Poole harbour. She thought she was on a cruise ship!!!! and just loved the bubbles coming out of the back of the boat. It just seemed to be a yellow, sunny weekend so that when I arrived in the warehouse yesterday, I whizzed around the shelves and selected this sunny collection for my NEW bag. It's even got some new ribbons in it that are not on the website yet - come on Ali get on with it!!!
I had a quick tot up, there is 30mtrs of ribbon in this bag and totals £11.89 and you can have it for £5.00 WOOOHOOO!!! BARGAIN!
Hope you like my new bag.
Bev
Rolls and Rolls
10/08/2009
In this weeks shopping trolley of bargain rolls there are some true stunners.
My favourite is the 50mm wide blue "Mille Fleur" which is just sitting on the bottom part of the trolley. Not only is this ribbon fab but it is also wired - and still only 10p per mtr.
Bev is working on a NEW Bev's Bag, she came into work today wearing yellow, even yellow nail varnish - maybe she was giving me a clue! If you want her current bag then click here to order, but be quick.
I had a much longer post then this, but I pressed the wrong button and just lost the lot - sorry. I am so mad with myself, I will say bye for today.
All worth it!
07/08/2009
I am just rushing out of the office - bet you can't guess what I will be doing?
Yep - buying more ribbon!!!! Before I leave, I wanted to share this email with you, from a happy customer that was in our inbox this morning.
Hello Tony & Ali,
I would just like to thank you so very, very much. I received my order today - everything I order and more.
I would like to say a special thank you for the free gift you also enclosed. Purple is my favourite colour and the ribbons are just beautiful. It really made my day.
I will definitely order again from your company. Your choice of ribbons is extensive and your prompt, professional and friendly service is the icing on the cake.
Thank you again,
Yours sincerely,
Jennifer Hunter
This makes it all worth it!!

I received this delightful card from Marjorie yesterday.
It's a thank you card for all the lovely ribbons and the challenges we have given her. Marjorie we should be thanking you, as I said in my post yesterday without all you talented crafters we would not have these challenges. Marjorie the card is super and I love the colouring, you are truly branching out with your card making, and to think you told me you couldn't do stamping!!
I received this blog award from Wilma this morning.
Circle of Friends
Thank you Wilma, and yes we will be at Hobbycrafts at the NEC in November, I too am looking forward to meeting everyone. It's amazing how many friends you make from blogging, I had no idea what it was all about. But I have great fun and when I go away to France (where we have no TV, Telephone or broadband) Tony says I get withdrawal systems!!!!
I hope to be back later with a NEW little range of ribbons - but you never know.
Daisy Chain Part 2
05/08/2009
Before I start with the next batch of goodies from our Ribbon Challenge # 7 - Daisy Chain, I must apologise to Beryl.
Beryl sent in this stunning daisy card and I forget to show it to you yesterday - sorry. I am going to blame Tony for the oversight, well he was rushing me to go home as he was hungry!! This card is truly stunning - the daisies have been made using Stitchel stamp, tinted with H2o's and double embossed using extra thick embossing powder and the daisy stamp is from Magenta. Wow - no you are right, my card making knowledge is not that good. Beryl put the recipe on the back of the card - thank you Beryl.
What with teddies and now Maragret's fairies I think my location for taking the photos was perfect. This card is not just a card, but you can insert a photo (9x13cm) into the aperture, to make it really special. Self adhesive gems have been used to decorate the flower centres.
Margarets second card also has a surprise, lift the Daisy Chain lime ribbon and you can leave a secret note on the message plate - wicked.
Margarets fairy on this card can be removed and used as a bookmark - what a clever idea Margaret.
Marjorie said this has been her favorite challenge (arhh but I know what the next challenge is - I think you will like it even more!!! Tee Hee)
This is Popcorn Bear and you are right Marjorie he is cute. We do like our teddies, I hand painted a large "Tatty Teddy" on to Mollies Nursery wall above her cot this time last year, he is over a metre high!
Marjorie this decoupage is wonderful, I love the colours.
Natalie sent in this flat card, it has no fold (it would not stand up!! Behind the card you will find a twig doing all the work!) The yellow skinny ribbon is just a perfect colour match for the flowers.
This card also from Natalie has a skinny ribbon at the bottom.
Sydney fell in love with this card Natalie, she said it was her eating the lollie!!
Tina mentioned she was going to try and make a tiny daisy from ribbon (she sent me the daisy brooch last time), this one is cute. I still have not mastered colouring in Tina!
I love this Fairy Tina has used, the card got sprayed with cosmic mist in error, looks excellent to me.
Tina sent in this little note pad, I think I have mentioned I am the "Note Pad Queen" - I only have one or two Tony, honest!!
I have to hide all the yellow cards that arrive, Sdney thinks they are all for her! So when I saw this delightful card from Tracey and Paul it was quickly removed!!
Tracey and Paul also sent in this card, the flowers have been cut from (I have no idea) but are gorgeous! Hope you found the ribbon Tracey.
You are right Wilma - your card is "Blooming Lovely"
This little box from Wilma contains a surprise.
Little stamped notelets and matching envelopes, this is just so delicate.
When Wilma saw the Daisy Ribbon it made her think of the song "Daisy Daisy" so she made this delightful Daisy album.
Daisy Dasiy give me your answer do..
I'm half crazy over the love of you!
It wont be a stylish marriage - I can't afford a carriage!
But you'll look sweet upon the seat of a bicycle made for two. What a treat Wilma - thank you.
A really big thank you for such a talented selection of projects and cards. I hope you have enjoyed looking at everyones creations, please do leave leave a comment and tell them how great they are. We ALL love reading your comments and we could not have a challenge without all you talented crafters!!
Daisy Chain
04/08/2009
Our NEW Daisy Chain Ribbons truly hit the spot with our ribbon challengers, we received some fantastic goodies for our ribbon Challenge # 7 - they took our breath away. Daisy Chain comes in 3mtr lengths for £2 and there are 5 scrummy colours - Lime - White - Lilac - Lemon - Pink. 18mm sheer ribbons with printed daisies that look as if they have been hand painted, a delicate scallop trim has been added to both edges of the ribbon. I know I am easily pleased, but I do think this photograph captures the charm and fun of this small collection of ribbons - hope you also like it.
Without further ado here are the projects from Ribbon Challenge # 7. There are so many different projects that I am posting half today and the balance tomorrow.
Amanda surprised us with this delightful pair of dungers and hair band. (Syd was too big and Mollie was to small to model them for me!)
A close up of the Daisy Chain bow on the hair band.
And the trim detail on the dungers, what a brilliant idea and such fun
Beryl made this teddy card, I just think the inside is wicked and rather cheekie!
Beryl also made this collection of boxes, a treasure on their own.....
....But when opened they do contain treasure!! The little scroll message reads " Time passes... friendship stays right where it is put!"
Look at this adorable little hedgehog (did anyone else fall for Spud on telly?!) Carols has his spines and looks rather happy.
Carol also created this dancing cat with flowers - the flower made with ribbons is just perfect.
Carol F sent me another ATC to add to my collection, at what stage do I have to swap? Great idea using the ribbon as a frame - I like that!
"If you go down to the woods to day...." This teddy from Carol F has been decoupaged, he looks very much like the teddy Beryl used, maybe his brother!
Dorothy sent us an awesome collection of goodies, this is her teddy card also decoupaged - called Daisy & May.
This card looks like a shop window to me, with lovely lacy curtains.
This card has a wonderful butterfly and flower pop out section in the centre, but I forgot to photograph it - sorry Dorothy.
This is Dorothys last creation, she said she got rather carried away with ideas for these lovely ribbons. Thank you Dorothy.
This card is from Jan - welcome back Jan we missed you, hope you are feeling much better.
Jan I think this card is gorgeous, the colours are so scrummy - I know it has no Daisy Chain ribbon on it, but we also sent a collection of skinny ribbons as well. See what you can do with "bog" standard satin ribbon!!!
Linda has stitched the skinny ribbon through the scallop edges of the daisy ribbon - clever.
Linda's daughter also joins in with the challenges, this is a very elegant card Cath.
Maggie sent in this gift tag and card, the little girl is called Daisy. I wish I could colour in like this - gorgeous.
Maggie said it felt like Christmas when her parcel arrived, she clams to have "limited" sewing skills - I don't think so, this bag is a dream, think I might keep my sweeties in it. SHH don't tell Sydney!
Tony is complaining that he is hungry and wants to go home - men (just as I am having fun!!!). Hope you have enjoyed Amanda's through to Maggies goodies. Log on tomorrow to see Margaret's through to Wilmas.
OK Tony I am nearly finished.
