You could pick our NEW ones. the ones we launched a few weeks back.........
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/5/dolly+mixture+500.jpg)
or any of the original 19 we launched back in April.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/4/button+box+header+2.jpg)
Who can resist ploughing their hand into this selection...........
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/4/delphinium+crush+500.jpg)
.................not ME!
So if you fancy being put into our Bingo bag this week, then just leave us a comment and we will do the rest on Monday. What boxes would you pick? Do let us know, we are a very nosey bunch at Crafty Ribbons!!!
Day 5 of our Button Week........ummmm.................I think I was rather over optimistic that I could show case everyones creations in 1 week!! Yes, I could take the pictures and just put them on the blog, but that is not my style, is it. I like to show you the finer details with close ups...........so therefore our button week is going to turn into two weeks!! Yeah!!
Today we have the work of Jenny and Sherry, and wow have these two girls got something to show us - both very different but totally unique.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/jenny+clock.jpg)
This is a first Jenny, nobody has sent me a clock before. And it works! Can you guess what Jenny has used to create this perfect circle, I bet you can...........
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/jenny+clock+back.jpg)
...................a CD. Wicked Jenny, what a super piece of inspiration.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/jenny+hair+band.jpg)
Jenny's other creation was this perfect hair band, What scrummy colours, how did you cut such perfect felt flowers? I know a very proud little girl that would love this, her stabilisers have been removed from her bike.......and she can do it!! Sydney is riding her bike.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/sherry+button+doll.jpg)
Oh Sherry I have always wanted to make something like this. Not sure I know the correct name for it, but I call it "Shabby Chic". Your Button Queen will be well looked after Sherry.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/sheery+hanging.jpg)
If you thought the Button Queen was wicked, then what about Sherry's wall hanging......................
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/sheery+dress+dummy.jpg)
.................perfection....................
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/sherry+cotton+reels+close+up.jpg)
I certainly have lots of fresh inspiring material for our exhibition stands this Autumn. Thank you Jenny and Sherry for such works of art, and a big thank you to everyone that took time out to be part of our Button Challenge. There will be more Buttonness all next week, so pop on and leave a comment for our challengers.
Do you think it is time for me to set a NEW Challenge? Can anyone spare a little time to come up with some ribbon and or button inspiration? What would your ultimate Challenge be? What would you like to have a play with? Questions, questions, questions - sorry! Let me know your thoughts, you can always email me craftyribbons@gmail.com or put it in your comment and i will see what Crafty Ribbons can do.
Have a great weekend.
If you are unable to leave a comment due to our spam filters, please email it to craftyribbons@gmail.com and we will add it for you. All the comments go into our "Bingo" bag and we draw a random number(s) on Monday.
Please check back to see if you have won, it is up to you to claim your prize - we do not contact you.
Button Week - Day 4

![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/summer+holiday+new+banner.jpg)
ALL 59 Summer Holiday Designs are on the website
you can find them HERE.
Special offer - spend £12 on Summer Holiday Ribbons and you will only be charged £10.
That's a Summer holiday bargain!!!
That's right the more you buy the cheaper it becomes. If you only want 1mtr of the sandcastle than that is fine by us, but if you want a mtr of several different designs or 5mtrs of one and 10mtrs of another that is also fine. The discount will automatically appear in your basket once the total Summer Holiday spend has reached £12.
I never thought I would get this range onto the website - as you know I had yesterday all planned to input them. Then....................I got flung back into a winter wonderland! Honest I did. There appears to be a problem with one of our NEW Christmas Ribbon Ranges.............so my whole day disappeared trying to get it sorted. There is only so much you can do by telephone and email - I really hope we can get it sorted it is a wicked range!
Anyway back to buttons, today we are showcasing the work of Toni and Claire.
I know I have already shown you this......................but....................
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/toni+cow.jpg)
..............I think he is wicked. He is huge, well A4 size. What imagination you have Toni.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/toni+tree.jpg)
The way you have shaded the picture by using different size and colours. Exquisite.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/toni+card.jpg)
Very relaxed all in green, calming I think. I love the way Toni has picked out the yellow colour of the design and used matching thread to sew the buttons on with. Very clever.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/Toni+hair.jpg)
Ooops! Confession Time - I no longer have these hair slides Toni, the smallest member of our team took a shine to them. "Mollie like - put in Ali please". Yes all of them at once and you may recall that Mollie does not have that much hair!!!! I can honestly say Toni these are well loved.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/claire+leaf.jpg)
This leaf is so real Claire, I had to run my fingers over it.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/claire+sewing+kit.jpg)
Ooooh a little concertina box, I was intrigued Claire.....................
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/claire+buttons.jpg)
WOW! I have never had one of these before. It is a amazing, a little sewing kit. Cor really impressed with this little guy Claire.
Thank you both for sharing you talents with us, such a pleasure discovering all these little gems. I hope you are all enjoying the buttoness we are displaying this week. All the buttons in our Button Week have come from our Button Boxes and you can find them HERE.
Friday FREEBIE tomorrow, any suggestions on what the FREEBIE could be?
![](/docs/blogfiles/2009/1/ali.jpg)
Hello wednesday - Daisy, Daisy..
15/06/2011
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/6/hello+wednesday.png)
Don't you just LOVE wednesday's? Say hello to wednesday "hello wednesday" It's all downhill from now on to the weekend - yippee!!!
Talk about "To the line, just in time" - I only finished todays project this morning! The glue is still wet so I was unable to photgraph it any other way than FLAT.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/Daisy+Daisy+500.jpg)
A simple little creation just to ease the Mojo back. I have had this faux suede photo album kicking around for a while, I liked it but...............it was missing something. After my evening of sorting piles of matching liitle buttons, these daisies sort of grew all on their own. What a way to capture those memories.
SD cards and online galleries are all well and good, but there is nothing like sitting back with a photo album and having a good old reminisce. Flicking through the album pages, a little giggle or even a single tear, nothing quite like it. Lay this on any coffee table and I bet no one would be able to resist it's charm and have a flick!
I avoided the cake tin yesterday afternoon but decided to dive into a crate of Bargain Rolls - they had been sat by my desk for almost 3 weeks waiting to be added to the website. When I do not want to do something, rather then hiding it away so I can not see it I have a tendency to put it somewhere that is in the way. It's amazing how I had got used to stepping over the crate to get to my chair.
Anyway yesterday I got the job done, over 30 NEW Bargain Ribbon Rolls have been added to the site.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/bargain+rolls+500.jpg)
You can find them all HERE.
Todays job - the Summer Holiday Ribbons, really looking forward to putting these on. By the way will still have one unclaimed prize from our Friday FREEBIE this week and also one a few weeks back for the NEW Animal cuties prize.
More buttoness coming your way tomorrow.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2009/1/ali.jpg)
Button Week - Day 2
14/06/2011
I have started. I have. To play that is!
I took a big (industrial size) bag of buttons home with me last night. I was sitting on the sofa rummaging through them, trying to find matching colours for my Hello wednesday project. Swishing and swirling the buttons around, making quite a bit of noise, but guess what, not one squeak from Tony. Not even a a raised eyebrow, normally I get comments something along the lines of "What ARE you doing NOW?". But last night .............zip..............nothing........not a peep. Maybe I had been more down then I realised, it was good to play, feeling the buttons through my fingers. No finished Hello wednesday project, just lots of little piles of buttons!!!
So here goes, more button inspiration from.............Clare and Tina.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/clare+flowers.jpg)
Flowers, but not just any flowers from Clare...............these are magic flowers. Believe me they are, they stick to everything metal! What a clever idea Clare, they certainly have jazzed up our office fridge door.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/clare+cupcake+notebook.jpg)
Not sure this little notbook will make it back into the office though, looks really comfortable sitting on my desk at home! Although I will admit Clare, every time I look at it I want to go and raid the cake tin. What a cool couple of ideas Clare.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/tina+flower+card.jpg)
Wow Tina, the detail on the card is amazing. I see you are still loving the sunshine ribbon.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/tina+button+detail.jpg)
I love your blending, I am never brave enough to do this!
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/tina+pram.jpg)
This card is really fun Tina, I adore the wheels! Not being a baby person I always forget about baby cards. Bev has been pushing me (for ages) to design a new range of baby ribbons............but you know...............TIME.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/tina+box+of+goodies.jpg)
I got to flick through this box of Tina Delights first. Wow I was spoilt for choice, do you want to see what treasures I found.....
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/tina+just+for+CR.jpg)
..earrings, keyring and my favorite the brooch. But I am going to make sure I keep this little treasure box safe, otherwise Rachie will be selling it on her stall on Sunday! She is like a Magpie sweeping around the office, "Oh can I have this, this would go well!". I must be the only person in Dorset that stocks a Sunday Craft Stall but NEVER sees the money!
Wonderful makes Tina and Clare, super inspiration................maybe I should go and complete my Hello wednesday project.................the paper work can wait!!!!
I am always delighted when I receive photos of the wonderful creations you make with our ribbons and buttons. Fiona sent me a couple of photos of her button chest.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/fiona.jpg)
I love this style of box, always reminds me of secret treasure.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/fiona+2.jpg)
Did you do the pyrography yousefl Fiona? It is amazing. Wished you had sent me a picture of the box open, I would love to see it filled with buttons! Thanks for sharing with us Fiona and for your wonderful comments about our website and blog, and please keep up the good work of spreading the Crafty Ribbons word.
Paperwork,...................or.................buttons and hello wednesday............................well actually my inbox is rather full.......................but then tomorrow is wednesday.........................Oh damm I looked at Clare's notebook.....it will have to be the cake tin.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2009/1/ali.jpg)
Button Week - Day 1
13/06/2011
As promised I have lots of buttonness to share with you today, I have a rumbling good feeling that my crafting Mojo maybe on it's way back, I am sort of itching to have a play, but have not started anything as I did not want to scare it away!
But first off, who has won the Friday FREEBIE Prizes? Summer holiday ribbons could be coming your way - did we pick your number? Bev and Sam did the honours today, Mollie and Sydney were way too busy making sandcastles to come and help out. I think the sun must have been in Sam's eyes!
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/sam+and+bev+3+numbers.jpg)
The lucky numbers are.....
Number 12 = Marilyn McLaughlin
No hols for us this year ....too poor and too ill......but looking at these ribbons has put a smile on my face! Would love to get picked to receive some.. sigh! A girl can dream!![Smile](/editors/tiny_mce3/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-smile.gif)
Number 29 = Sandy
Wow, you've done it again! Such lovely ribbons. I've a Punch and Judy card just crying out for the sandcastle ribbon. It brings back memories of when holidays were at the seaside in Britain and not faraway places.
Number 32 = Julie
Yet another lovely set of ribbons! We were at the beach in St Andrews earlier this week, but it was too cold to paddle in the sea.
Wooo hooo! you have a glorious selection of summer Holiday ribbons, all we need are addresses please to craftyribbons@gmail.com A big thank you to everyone that left a comment this weekend, glad you like the new selection of ribbons, they will be going on the website this week, but of course we will let our blog followers know first.
Button Week Day 1 - all the goodies shown today are from our button Challenge. Challengers were sent one of our Button Boxes (here) and they used them to craft in any shapes and forms. Today I am showcasing the creations from Craftygranny, Jan and Vicky.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/craftygranny+cross+stitch.jpg)
Craftygranny has gone to town with a delightful cross stitch note pad. Did you use glitter glue to stick the button on with Craftygranny? There is definitely some sparkle showing through the button holes.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/craftygranny+flower+pot+closed.jpg)
I am loving this card craftygranny, and it has a surprise.....
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/craftygranny+flower+pot+card.jpg)
... all the flowers pull out! loads of room to write your message. Perfect.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/craftygranny+its+a+girl.jpg)
Simple and elegant says it all.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/craftygranny+purple+card.jpg)
Yummie cakes, yes please. Why not follow Craftygrannys idea and use buttons to enhance the centre of your flowers - they look wonderful.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/jan+4+flowers.jpg)
I would be really pleased to receive a card like this Jan. Just my style, the pastel buttons are super cool with the lime card.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/jan+baby+card.jpg)
Buttons and babies seem to make a perfect match.....oooooh how sweet Jan.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/jan+corner+card.jpg)
I like the way you have colour matched the buttons with just a hint of colours on the flowers Jan, very clever.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/vicky+card.jpg)
Oh Vicky a very different style, I do like this buff, patchwork vintage style.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/vicky+bag.jpg)
Please correct me if I am wrong Vicky but have you used an envelope to make this bag? Cracking idea.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2011/6/vicky+flower+close+up.jpg)
.....look at the close up of the flower, what detail Vicky.
What do you think of all these goodies, thay are truly wonderful thank you Craftygranny, Jan and Vicky.
We have more to show everyday this week, so click back and see what the challengers have created everyday.

Friday FREEBIE - 23
10/06/2011
Wow our Christmas selection meeting was tough on Wednesday, although all the Christmas trimmings made it fun. Tony kept his bah humbug hat on throughout the meeting while clutching his calculator, which at one stage looked as if it was smoking!!! "Do we really need THAT MUCH?" Yes, yes, yes we all shouted.
That's it Christmas is all sealed and we now await delivery, and have we found some corkers for you. Every year I say this is our best Christmas Ribbon Collection EVER, but this year............................................Simply the Best.
I noticed a calm in the warehouse yeaterday, everyone seemed to be relaxed and almost relieved (well all apart from Tony), so now we can enjoy our......

To all our Button Challengers, I must apoligise that I have not shared your creations, I do feel really bad about it. They have all now been photgraphed and what a super aray of buttonness.
