Good morning and how is everyone this morning.
It is bright and clear here in Dorset, so fingers crossed everyone will have a fantastic Dorset Steam Fair. Although the rumours spread down from the site last night that is was really muddy, so make sure you wear your wellies!
I have been teasing again, I put a pile of socks on Facebook on Monday – stating it was my next craft project.
Baby’s 1st Christmas Sock Advent Calendar.
I used our New and Exclusive Advent number ribbon here, baby’s 1st Christmas ribbon and small buttons.
You can buy the kit (without the socks) here at £2.50 it is a bargain.
The little socks I got from a high street store and a couple of free evenings sewing and it was completed.
We have also added two more NEW and EXCLUSIVE ranges to the website, sorry I forgot to tell you!
A stunning Classic Christmas in Black and White.
This was the range that I had to re-design because it looked “dirty”.
I am so glad I persevered with it, I took some of the detail out and changed the print method.

I am getting a lot of help from Mollie today, but I seem to be achieving a lot less then normal.

Hello wednesday–Advent Cushion

I gather I am a tease – who me never!
If you follow us on Facebook here (remember you have to tick to receive notification from us) you will know what I am talking about.
Yesterday evening I revealed what I had been working on using one of our NEW and EXCLUSIVE ribbons.

But the ribbon was hidden – OK that was a bit of a tease.
Before I unveil the new ribbon I must stress that sometimes I have the craziest of ideas.
I am very lucky to be able to turn my ideas into ribbon,
I really hope there are thousands of other crazy crafters out there, that will be able to use this ribbon…..
Ok here goes…………. this is how crazy I am………………..
….Advent numbers on a ribbon…….
From 1 to 25 with little space marks for you to cut.
25mm white grosgrain printed in black.
Each set of 25 numbers is just over 90cm – this is the longest print mold we have ever produced.
Mega thanks to the factory for producing this special mold for me.
Cut them, stick them, sew them………..my mind has been going crazy with advent calendar ideas for weeks.
This is the first. An advent cushion with matching candy cane.
Just move the candy stick each day – magic.
I may be wrong BUT I believe there is not a ribbon like this anywhere in the world!

White Christmas in August

Good morning everyone.
I am pleased to tell you, our first EXCLUSIVE Christmas ribbon collection is on the website.

Do you remember I went through a stage of doodling and Zentagling a while back?
Well I doodled a ribbon!
Little Christmas trees and winter cottages with white smoke coming from the chimneys,
I then added snow drifts and the White Christmas range was designed.
We have Happy Christmas and also Bonnes Fêtes for our French friends.
9mm wide, so perfect for so many different crafts and in 4 different colours.
Scarlet, Garden Rose, Cobalt Blue and a rather stunning Black
Not only do I think these ribbons are fun, but I enjoyed the photo shoot………………
……..those biscuits were yummy………………
…….AND……..
….I achieved my first ever bokeh photos – the lights that look like round balls in the background!!!
Rather chuffed with myself.
Although we received a large shipment last week, this was the only complete collection we received………
……..BUT……
….I am eagerly waiting for the delivery man again – next shipment is due today.

Hello wednesday–Love Chocolate

Morning everyone.
I am like a cat on a hot tin roof today……………..I will explain after showing you this.
Way back in May I made both my brother in laws each a birthday cake.
This cake was was made for Marten, Rachies husband.
He is a chocolate freak……………….adores chocolate.
(most annoying thing, he is a slim as a rake!)
WOW! The fumes from this cake were awesome.
I inhaled with relish knowing I could not eat any of the cake – boo hoo.

Why am I on edge you ask………………………I even had Tony in the office at 7.30 this morning.

Every time I hear a lorry outside, I go running out………….
…….I do hope it comes soon, not sure my nerves can cope with an afternoon delivery.

Hello everyone, I know most crafters start all their Christmas crafting early, but then others get quite upperty when we start promoting Christmas.
So please do no shoot the messenger but……………….

First up is some Christmas Bias Binding.

….oooh I think it is scrummy, but not as scrummy as this one……….

Good afternoon everyone, how are you all today.
I am one very happy bunny. We finally have a new warehouse printer.
I have sent 3 back to our supplier. The first two jammed everytime it saw our invoice paper,
the third one looked so small I did not even take it out of the box!
But today, a massive box arrived with a shiny new printer, AND it likes our invoice paper.
Hence happy bunny.
I have no new Hello wednesday for you, but I do have this.

Good morning all……….only few more hours and then it’s the weekend!
I am really looking forward to the weekend…………
one of my NEW ranges for Christmas has not turned out great in pre-production samples
:-( so feeling down……….

Hello everyone, sorry I am much later then normal for a wednesday,
It is just that time of year again, when staff members take time off work to go on holiday – how dare they!
So the girls have had me pulling orders in the warehouse today.
I have forgotten how far you walk, up and down the aisles picking ribbons…………….
……ooops and back again because you have forgotten where the ribbons were!
I deliberately put a few mistakes in my orders just to keep the packing girls on their toes,
well that's what I told them.
We are launching another NEW ribbon today.
We have been asked for this ribbon for ages, to make ladybirds.
The manufacture does not carry it as a stock colour, so we had it printed just for you hair clip makers.
Red grosgrain ribbon with black Swiss dots.

I told Miss Mollie that I was making Ladybirds and I needed someone to photograph them with.
I gather she drove Rachie mad about coming up to see auntie Ali, “auntie Ali needs me mummy”.
Look she wore her ladybird outfit, just for me.
I love this photo, you can tell we were having fun.
I had hoped to do a tutorial of how to make these ladybirds clips,
but orders came first this morning.
