Ooooh exciting news.
We are looking for someone or someones to join our fabulous Crafty Ribbons Design team.
We have a Mission........
Enjoy working with ribbon - this is paramount.
Promote Crafty Ribbons - we stock a lot of ribbon BUT our EXCLUSIVE ribbon is what sets us apart from other ribbon companies. So using our EXCLUSIVE ribbon on your creations will give us a greater exposure.
Inspirational with Ribbon - let the ribbon do the talking.
The reason I wanted a Challenge Blog, was to show others what can be created with ribbon. To encourage others to use ribbon on their creations and join in with our challenges.
Must be fun - make the challenges simple and clear.
If you feel you would like to join our team of ribboners then go and enter a ribbon creation here.
Our DT call is open for two weeks.

Other news...........I was (am) a little trepidatious about using the computers today. Thursday I blew up the website,
Friday I managed to blow up our comment system here on the blog!!
Our IT guys were unable to fix it, so have installed a new system.
It is a little bit different to the other system, sadly we have all lost our gravitars
but you can add your own pics.
You only have to set it up once and is easy to do.
There is still something wrong and Tony and the guys will get it sorted -
it states comments (0) when in fact there are comments.
Harry (our spam filter) is still playing games!!

I think we now have the largest selection of Gingham ribbon colours on the web - 36 awesome.
I had a bit of a drama getting them on the website yesterday - I blew the website up!
First the website crashed and then the operating system went offline.
Tony phoned the server company to see if they had an issue - nope everything fine.
He then tried our IT guys, as I heard him on the phone,
I handed him a note.....I have Laryngitis and can only croak you see
"I think it was something I did"
Yep it was me. I had created a loop in the system and the website had run out of memory tying to load.
Thankfully we were only offline for about 30mins but it seemed much longer.
So please enjoy the new Gingham ribbon colours, a lot of blood, sweat and tears (mine) went in getting them to you!!!
I am working on the 5mm and 15mm today
Wish me luck!!
EDITED - ummmmm I did it again. I managed to blow up the comment system on the blog this morning.
The IT guys could not fix it, so have installed a new system.
It is a little different from the last one, but I am sure you will all get used to it.

I am feeling naughty today, a little mischievious!
All because I have been locked in a room for what feels like weeks.
Well not really locked in, but I have had to be very focused......

Design Team Rebecca is a winner

Rebecca, one of our fab Design Team girls has been placed runner up in
Cardmaker of the Year competition in Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine.
And the best bit, two of her creations use both our ribbons and buttons.
Seam binding and DO NOT open until the 25th December ribbon.
Rebecca's paper wreath uses our Basics 2 Go Buttons.
Well done Rebecca what a great start to the New year.

Systems are go

First day back in the warehouse.
We had a few teething problems this morning.
The power cuts over the Christmas shut down had disabled our internet.
Not a simple matter of clicking the switch back on.
The girls were all standing round with nothing to do..........
without the internet we cannot access our website or print off orders.
So a quick trip home with the order papers to do an emergency print run.
The girls were happy when I returned with an armful of orders.....
...they are working as fast as they can to dispatch them.
Thankfully we are fully back up and running, all systems are go!
