Thanks Tessa and Laura for your fab samples.
Nearly forgot you can make your own Percy as a kit.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2013/9/percy+sq+400.jpg)
Percy is popular -Janet popped in last week, saw him on the side, scooped him up and walked out.
I went running after her............"Janet his nose is not sewn on!"
Percy went to school with Mollie this morning and was overwhelmed.
Guess who will be making more Percy's this weekend?!

Just ribbons.....
19/09/2013
......yes just ribbons today.
No digis, toppers, kits or even buttons.
Just plain and simple ribbons (Well as plain as I can make them!)
![](/docs/blogfiles/2013/9/wash+day+header.jpg)
Everybody has to do their washing - even Santa!
A blue snowy sky, a little wind perfect for drying his laundry.
He got the children's stockings a little wet while washing his socks, so they are out to dry as well.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2013/9/IMG_9025+wash+socks+400.jpg)
I hope Santa gets sorted soon
![](/docs/blogfiles/2013/9/IMG_9011+dropped+green+400.jpg)
....he keeps dropping presents.
But remember....
![](/docs/blogfiles/2013/9/IMG_9003+do+not+real+red+400.jpg)
Do NOT open until the 25th December.
Santa and all of us are....

![](/docs/blogfiles/2009/1/ali.jpg)
Imagine the perfect winterscene
17/09/2013
....can you see it.............
bright blue sky, snowflakes gently floating down.
Happy reindeer clustered together, Santa saying HO HO HO,
even a fairy waving her magic wand......
Keep that picture in your mind. Does it look like this..................................
![](/docs/blogfiles/2013/9/winterscene+stamps.jpg)
OK I have to admit I have a very active imagination - well you have to - to design ribbon!
Well for my style of ribbon. I did have a peek around the other Christmas ribbons out in the big blue yonder,
rather boring I thought, and looked as if they had been around for yonks.
If you want some BRAND SPANKING NEW RIBBONS then keep on reading.
Winterscene Stamps
![](/docs/blogfiles/2013/9/IMG_8768+stamps+500.jpg)
oooooh I have to say these images are adorable, all set in a little postage stamp.
Now what came first the stamps or the winterscene?
![](/docs/blogfiles/2013/9/IMG_8755+winter+scene+500.jpg)
It was the stamps.
Only a chance remark by one of the girls in the warehouse "They would look so good in a line".
They are in a line, a line of stamps.
"No Ali, like a winterscene"
That was it, I was A.W.O.L for the rest of the day, and the Winterscene was born!
What do you think of these....
![](/docs/blogfiles/2013/9/IMG_8772+message+stamps+500.jpg)
When I was a little girl, I used to help my Grandma stick picture message style stamps to the
envelopes of the cards we were delivering by hand - do you remember?
That memory made this ribbon, printed onto 16mm grosgrain small stamps with an image and a message.
Why not use them as a ribbon (great idea) or cut them into stamps.
(Seal the ribbon ends with a little watered down PVA glue)
The images are so super cute (well, we think so), we have turned them into Digi images to download or
Pre-coloured toppers.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2013/9/IMG_8791+coloured+500.jpg)
Ali (not me, but Ali the follower) I read your comment last night and thought it was a great idea.
Both todays images and yesterdays Cupcakes can be downloaded as a set of six.
Magic, thank you.
OK I struggle with card making, not the first time I have told you this, sewing is my passion....
![](/docs/blogfiles/2013/9/IMG_8845+pink+stocking+500.jpg)
Not forgetting the boys
![](/docs/blogfiles/2013/9/IMG_8841+blue+stocking+500.jpg)
You can find the latest member of our ribbon family - Winter Stamps here

Hello wednesday - button banner
04/09/2013
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/6/hello+wednesday.png)
Don't you just LOVE wednesday's? Say hello to wednesday "hello wednesday" It's all downhill from now on to the weekend - yippee!!!
Wow time is flying past. I have so many different jobs to do, we are gearing up for the exhibitions as well as getting our Christmas Shop open. Ahh you thought we had forgotten Christmas this year. Nope we are keeping our surprises under our hat for a little longer. I promise it will be well worth the wait - we have yummy ribbons lined up for you.
Going back to the exhibition stand, we have had a re-think. All the ribbons have been removed from the stands and replaced. A long job that thankfully Rachie has been keen to do. The stand is looking very fresh and hopefully inviting! I have been making a new prop.............do you want to see it. It is long and thin and I have used lots of buttons.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2013/9/button+banner.png)
It will sit on the side of our button unit. Ok you may not want a banner reading Buttons but........................it could be Mollie, Sydney... Change the colours for the boys and you have a delightful room decoration or even a bedroom door hanger. What do you think?
Need a few buttons?
![](/docs/blogfiles/2013/9/20+off+9+sept.png)
20% off until midnight Monday, great way to stock up! Find all our Basic 2 Go buttons here.
Enjoy the rest of the week.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2009/1/ali.jpg)
Hello wednesday - what is it?
28/08/2013
![](/docs/blogfiles/2010/6/hello+wednesday.png)
Don't you just LOVE wednesday's? Say hello to wednesday "hello wednesday" It's all downhill from now on to the weekend - yippee!!!
I do love bank Holiday weekends, but I get very confused with the days for the rest of the week. Yesterday I thought was Monday, so I had rather a shock when Syd asked me what Hello wednesday was today. Durrrrr Ali!
Hello Wednesday is a bit of a guessing game, what is it?
![](/docs/blogfiles/2013/8/hello+wednesday+rain+hats.png)
Nope no idea.............................give up?
It is a rain hat!
![](/docs/blogfiles/2013/8/rain+hat+cropped.png)
Not for me, but one of our exhibition units. We got caught in a blizzard in March trying to load the lorry. I stood on the tail lift willing Tony to push faster so my ribbons would not get wet! Dreading what I would see when Tony and the ribbon unit arrived to the safety of the lorry. I then vowed that I would make rain hats for the coming season.
One made 2 more to go! I had planned to use Velcro to seal the edges, but when I costed the job I nearly had a heart attacked. £45 I thought was a silly amount, so I put my thinking cap on again. Ribbon Ties to the rescue!!! One 10mtr roll of bargain turquoise ribbon for £1 and I will have ribbon left. Now I have £44 to spend on something else Tony! Ooooh I am itching to show you what is underneath the rain hat...............but...........it is TOP SECRET.......for the moment............tee hee.
Time to announce the winner of Laura's game, how many buttons in the jar. Are you ready, I think you will be surprised but there were.................................
![](/docs/blogfiles/2013/8/138buttons.jpg)
.......................138 buttons.
The winner is Berina
There are 135 buttons
-Berina
Wow that was close berina, please email bev.craftyribbons@gmail.com with your address details and she will get your button prize in the post to you. Thank you to everyone who took part. ![](/docs/blogfiles/2013/8/syd+windmills.JPG)
Syd is doing the fiddly bits, while Sam............
![](/docs/blogfiles/2013/8/sam+collecting+wood.JPG)

(Although he does look like he is doing something naughty!)
Any ideas what they have been making?

How exciting! A summer fete without having to get soaked if it rains! Thank you for the chance to win in the raffle! x
Thank you for everyone that claimed your tickets, it was a fun idea.
Have you had had any thoughts of what the children have made for you to take home?
They did think of balloons tied with ribbon............
![](/docs/blogfiles/2013/8/windmills.JPG)
........but we decided on windmills with button centres.
![](/docs/blogfiles/2013/8/syd+wind.JPG)
I would get in quick and grab your pretend one on the way home..........
![](/docs/blogfiles/2013/8/syd+and+sam.JPG)
....there are two little people that have taken rather a shine to all the windmills!
Thank you for coming to our Fete, and extra thanks to those of you that left us a comment each day.
The children have asked everyday if anyone said anything about their creations.
So it was a great pleasure to read what you had all put.
It was very important to them.
We really have had fun with the Fete, I think you could see that.
We are all a little bit tired and will sleep well tonight!!!
Have an awesome weekend, oh dear it maybe another beach weekend!
